In this life, I have always been a maker…
Making allows me to feel focused and at ease with myself.
Making puts me in touch with my inner child.
Making gives me an opportunity to feel connected in a disconnected world. Making, I feel me.
I currently practice a form of Turkish Ebru marbling, a decorative technique in which paints are floated on water and the designs created in the paints are then transferred to paper or silk. I use my papers in making hand-bound journals, cards, wall art and more. The silks become scarves.
Prior to this, I have practiced blacksmithing, silver work, screen printing and wood working. Paper making beckons.
Making is a journey across the landscape of your imagination. Making is a venture we can all undertake. Making is healing.
